September 2009	The Royal Society launches its Geoengineering the Climate Report.
March 2010	Launch of the Solar Radiation Management Governance Initiative.SRMGI partners participate in the The Asilomar International Conference on Climate Intervention Technologies sponsored by the Climate Response Fund.
July 2010	SRMGI steering group finalized.
November 8-9, 2010	The Royal Society to host Geoengineering – Taking control of our planet's climate at the Royal Society.
November 10-11, 2010	SRMGI Working group meeting at the Kavli Royal Society International Centre in England.
February 2011	Three subgroups of the Working Group produce discussion papers and disseminate to stakeholder partners.
March 22-24, 2011	SRMGI Conference at the Kavli Royal Society International Centre in England. The conference will produce recommendations to guide SRM research.
2012	Phase II: Recommendations and conclusions will be discussed and implemented in scientific, civil society, government and private sectors.
