Building on the recent success of workshops in Singapore, India, China, and Pakistan and the upcoming release of SRMGI's 2011 synthesis report, SRMGI seeks to continue to foster an interdisciplinary and international discussion to develop ideas about how SRM research could be governed responsibly.  SRMGI proposes to continue its global outreach through international workshops, an international working group, and broad stakeholder participation designed to expand the conversation about SRM governance mechanisms through an ever wider group of participants and stakeholders.

Given SRMGI's current momentum, now is the time to broaden the debate by continuing global outreach to foster more broad international participation, especially to those areas where current involvement is low but potential impacts from geoengineering activities are high. This project is anticipated to run a duration of approximately three years.
