A workshop entitled "Solar Geoengineering: Research, Governance, and African Involvement" was held Wednesday, 28 November, 2012. The event was held in cooperation with the National Conference on Global Change in Boksburg, South Africa.
The workshop was an interactive session and discussion on solar geoengineering, how it can be governed, and the role of Africa experts, policymakers, and countries. It also buillt off the momentum and discussions of a preceding solar geoengineering governance workshop, recently held in Senegal in June 2012. The session was chaired by Professor Georges-Ivo Ekosse of Walter Sisulu University.
