Towards an interdisciplinary knowledge community on the critical understanding of emergent climate system intervention technologies in Southeast Asia
On 8 and 9 November 2019, SRMGI co-convened a workshop in Bali, Indonesia, focusing on SE Asia engagement with solar and carbon geoengineering. The event was delivered in partnership with Boston University and The Hong Kong University of Science and Technology, and led by Dr Laurence Delina. It brought together 22 people from around SE Asia, representing academia, NGOs and government, to discuss how the region might address the challenges raised by carbon and solar geoengineering.
